Wild Wood Bristol Forest School is all about helping children learn more about the natural environment, while building confidence and establishing friendships.

Sessions consist of five parts:
1. Regular set activities to help the children establish familiarity with the woodland setting.
2. Varied adult led activities that:
  • develops the children's fine and gross motor skills
  • promotes physical activity
  • encourages creativity
  • supports communication and team working skills
  • helps build a greater understanding of the natural environment

3. Free time to explore the natural woodland and follow the children's interests.
4. The communal campfire.  This is something that sets our Forest School apart. All sessions include making a campfire and having a hot chocolate.  Where time allows, we will also prepare and cook something over the fire.  In the past this has included smores, bread-on-sticks and popcorn, among others.

When time is limited, due to our other activities, the children will be offered a biscuit or cracker with their hot chocolate.
5. The session finishes with a story.
